At LifeQuest, we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the LifeQuest mobile application on iOS and Android and related services (the "Service").

        The short version: We collect only what we need to run your account and deliver your daily motivation. We do not sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to third parties.
      

1. Information We Collect

When you create and use an account, we collect:

Email address — to identify your account and communicate with you.
Username (pseudonym) — your chosen display name.
4-digit PIN code — used to secure access to your account.
Device identifier — a unique identifier for your phone, used to operate the Service, deliver notifications, and secure your account.
Your ambitions & preferences — the goals you provide so we can personalize your daily motivational phrase and quests.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account.
To deliver a daily motivational phrase and quests tailored to your ambitions.
To send notifications, including your daily phrase and reminders (with your permission).
To power the home-screen widget.
To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
To respond to your support requests.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

Our annual subscription with a 7-day free trial is processed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Purchases and cancellations are managed through your Apple or Google account.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored in our database hosted on Hetzner servers. Our domain and network traffic are managed through Cloudflare. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to third parties. We only use trusted infrastructure providers (such as Hetzner and Cloudflare) and the app stores (Apple, Google) strictly to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

6. Notifications

We send push notifications through Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver your daily content and reminders. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

7. Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we remove your personal data, except where we are required to retain certain information by law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age required by your local law to consent to data processing. We do not knowingly collect data from such children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
